Manchester Marathon

  • Emirates Old Trafford Lancashire County Cricket Club, Talbot Rd M16 0PX United Kingdom (map)

The UK’s second-largest Marathon, in the UK’s first-best city

A Manchester Marathon Challenge for Made With Hope.

The Manchester Marathon is one of the UK’s flattest marathon, so perfect for both beginners and experienced runners hoping to nail a personal best alike!

There is a new route for 2020, which takes a three-mile loop into the city centre, showcasing some of the city’s most iconic landmarks including the Manchester Opera House, Spinningfields, Albert Memorial Hall and The Midland Hotel amongst many others. Roads will be completely closed, allowing an estimated 25,000 people to take part, and thousands more to gather in the city centre to watch.

The start will remain in its present location under the White City Arch, with the world-famous backdrop of Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium, and continue to offer its popular finish running past Trafford Town Hall and Lancashire Cricket Club.

If that all sounds a bit much, it is possible to sign up to run the race as a relay with your faster and fitter friends!!

Made With Hope are not an official charity partner of the Manchester Marathon (ie you can’t pick us as you register) but you are still welcome and able to sign up on their site and then fundraise for Made With Hope. When you register please send us an email to let us know, as we won’t be notified otherwise! Registration is £65.
