Why do we do this?
In Tanzania the sun sets at 6.30pm all year round. Most rural villages don’t have electricity so children can’t do their homework meaning their learning suffers.
OUR IMPACT
So far we have provided 12,000+ hours of light for girls to do their homework.
What next?
We’re working on launching a pilot for a solar lamp homework project in the community.
A solar lamp for a child to use for their homework each night costs just £30 and will mean they can stay on top of their learning.
