Maweni Primary School

Maweni Government Primary School has over 433 students. It is extremely remote and had no access to water when we first visited, with the nearest source more than 2 hours away by vehicle. We have partnered with this project since 2019.

Our impact here:

• 14 x 5,000 litre water tanks installed

• Reusable menstruation products and education given to 50 girls

• Construction of 14 hand washing facilities and hygiene education programme implemented

• Renovated 10 classrooms. Built 2 new classrooms.

• Constructed an inclusive toilet with disabled access

• Renovation of 10 boys’ toilets
