Girls Toilets Complete

We’ve constructed 4 toilets and 4 shower rooms for the children living in our girls dorm rooms whilst they attend the amazing primary school next door. Having toilet facilities is not very common in Tanzania but it is especially important for girls who are menstruating. With our Being Well projects, we try to implement high quality sanitation facilities with tiled floor and porcelain toilets that girls should be able to use in private and not feel any risk of catching disease or unable to manage their period.

This project cost £4,500 and was done solely through community fundraising. Thank you to everyone who bought our cakes, ran a sponsored 10k, donated their time, bought a brick and randomly donated through the goodness of their heart!
